Organizing Your Days With a Sustainable Purpose!

Organizing your days with Purpose as it relates to scripture, speaks more to our relationships with people, than to the things we handle.

Part of organizing our days with purpose, is to have more meaningful interpersonal relationships.

For more meaningful interpersonal relationships,  we need to have:

  • Smooth communication
  • Effective problem solving
  • Successful task management
  • Necessary Coordination

To be effective in those relationships, organizing our days with purpose is:
  • Making the right decisions
  • Assigning our space
  • Accomplishing Tasks
  • Communicating clearly and effectively

Home and office organizing should always be the number one priority when implementing policies and structures. These policies and structures should bless and benefit people you come in contact with on a daily basis.

Always organize your days with a Sustainable Appetite of Purpose!

Scripture reference:Let all things be done decently and in order. 1 Corinthians 14:40

The Strength of the Proverbs 31 Woman

7/10/2017

As a virtuous woman your body,  is the Temple of the Holy Spirit and you are responsible for taking care of it. Scripture References:  (1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 2 Corinthians 6:16-18).

A Christian woman’s body belongs to the Lord, is a member of Christ, and is the Holy Spirit’s temple. If Christ is in you, you will treat your body as if it is His temple. You will have enough respect for yourself and the Lord, that you won’t allow anything or anyone to defame your body.  Having that respect shows that you are responsible and will allow God to work through you as He desires.

As The Proverbs 31 Woman you must strive to obtain your strength on a daily basis.  Not just any strength, but your spiritual, mental and physical strengths.

Being tired can affect your life, spiritually, mentally and physically; you are not as sharp and can be easily deceived.  Tiredness can also affect your prayer life, your best witnessing to others, and your walk in the Fruit of the Spirit. Scripture reference: (Galatians 5:22-23).  As you walk with the Spirit in control, these fruits grow every day, until one day you look around and they are all active in your life.

Proverbs 31:15, speaks to how you should prepare to obtain spiritual strength. Your day should start, by reading God’s word, praying, praising and worshipping.

You are not to be a sleepy-head. You should go to bed early so you can start your day early. Doing this will help you to better prepare, for school, or work.

For your mental strength, you will not only read the word of God, but you will meditate throughout the day.  As a Proverbs 31 Woman, in addition to the bible, you should have an interest in reading positive books, (Personal and Self Development), to keep your mind positive.

I would like to think, that you are abreast of what goes on around you, in knowing what goes on around you, will help give you the opportunity to communicate intelligently and effectively with anyone.

Now let’s help to prepare you to obtain physical strength, getting the proper exercise is a start, or you can gain this strength through your passions (spiritual gifts).

In addition, when it comes to physical exercise you can accomplish it in many different ways: walking dancing, doing aerobics, playing a sport (tennis, golf, etc.), or riding your bicycle.  You may choose do exercise alone or may choose to work out with someone.  Have Fun!

Imagine, if your spiritual, mental and physical strengths are in check, your life will be less stressful,  more confident, and you will have relief from daily tensions. Hence, you will be motivated to accomplish more and most importantly, you will enjoy and have the sense of peace with everything you set out to do.

Let’s be like the Proverbs 31 Woman and Just Go For It!

Plotting Your Course with an Appetite for Purpose!

Plotting Your Course with an Appetite for Purpose!

We must understand goals are dreams with a deadline;  Goal setting with deadlines can be done daily, weekly, monthly or yearly.  We can push forward with our goals or as life happens, they sometimes fall backwards, there is no middle ground.

Goals can sometimes express desires of goodness, but can't be measured, there are no deadlines.  Goals without measure or without deadlines are difficult to achieve.

Realistic goals with a purposeful vision should include:
  • Goal explanation (how and what needs to be done to reach your goal).
  •  Date of completion (what is your deadline?).

Goal setting should be determined biblically (1 Corinthians 10:31) and:
  • Consistent with God's word.
  • Likeminded with Jesus Christ.

Most importantly, setting goals is appropriate from all ages, youth through adulthood.

When plotting your course with an appetite for purpose, there are certain commitments involved:
  • Be certain your goals are specific and measurable.
  • Be sure your goals are realistic.
  • Be sure to develop a plan of completion for your goals.
  • Be sure to set appropriate time aside to complete the task for your goal.
  • Be sure to include an evaluation of the goal to be reached.

Then take these important steps to help push forward with plotting your course and to accomplish your goal setting with an appetite for purpose:
  • Ask God for direction (Proverbs 3:5-6)
  • Establish objectives for what needs to be done (Psalm 37:23, 24)
  • Plot your course (have a blueprint) in place to help accomplish your goals (Proverbs 16:9)
  • Make a schedule of what God placed on your heart to do (1 Chronicles 12:32)

Finally, make a plan of action (plotting your course) to show how much money and time is required to accomplish your goals.

Manging our time, is not just about being busy, but also includes:
  • finding the focus God has for you
  • choosing a direction
  • moving ahead
to accomplish the goals we have for ourselves.

We all know managing our time is very difficult, but when our time is managed with an appetite for purpose we will develop our skills. Those skills will help to achieve our goals with maximum effort and plans that are realistic.

It is so key to acknowledge you have time:
  • Everyone has been given the same amount time which was given by God.
  • You can determine how to use your time, with God's help.
  • Your time is valuable, don't let someone else decide what your priorities are or make your schedule.
  • It is important to focus on meaningful time that is vital to your relationships

You can accomplish great things when you use small bits of time faithfully.

Maximizing the amount of time you spend with God will also maximize your time to serve others.

Are you ready to manage your time with an appetite for purpose?

Family Time - Makes for a Healthy Family!

9/12/2016

Around the same time every evening I take a drive for about 30 minutes, picking up my daughter, on one of our busy roads.  I have my Zen music playing, while driving with caution and paying attention to my surroundings.

In front of me, behind me and all around me, using my peripheral vision, there are some people driving alone but the majority of the cars are filled with families. The lone driver talking on phones, using hands free device or just holding the phone.  Let’s talk about the car behind me; while at the red light, I glance in my rear view mirror.  In this car, the dad is driving, while mom is talking on her mobile phone, a baby is sleep in the car seat, the other kids, not sure of age, but they each have mobile phones or some type of technological device.

They are possibly texting and or playing games in the back seat.  I’m sure it has been a long day, parents coming home from work, possibly picking up the kids from daycare, aftercare or may be after school activities.

Wow, it’s amazing what you see in 2 minutes at a red light.

Here I am driving alone (no I don’t talk or text while driving) and this car is filled with a family, who is not talking to one another.  Unbelievable!  I wonder, shouldn’t some of this time (10-15 minutes) be used to talk to one another?   Yes the day may have been stressful, but imagine through conversation with one another (parents) maybe something said could cause laughter that can help lift some of the stress.

This is also a good time to talk and listen to your children. They may talk about school, whether it was a good or bad day.  If done daily for few minutes it may help with a child that does not really talk about their day, why? Because everyone is so consumed with the mobile phones or devices, they may feel that they are interrupting. So instead, they keep quiet and possibly start texting and/or playing on their mobile phones or devices.

Imagine conversation during the drive, long or short how quickly the time will pass.  Maybe put away those mobile devices for a few minutes, and talk to your family.  Communication is key in all relationships, especially family.

Family time is important, it could make for a healthy and successful family, physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Again, is your family healthy?
